product profile: the sunburst mirror

In a perfect world I would shoot out of bed when my alarm goes off each morning feeling well-rested, sharp-minded and excited to face the day. In reality it takes a scolding hot shower and at least 2 Sumatra blends before I am coherent. Whether you're a night owl like me or one of those annoying morning people that naturally wakes up 10 minutes prior to your alarm with perfect hair (jealous), I hope to add a little extra inspiration to the start of your week.

Every Monday I am going to highlight a product or style that is currently catching my eye. Even if you have to wait for the caffeine buzz to kick in first I hope you enjoy this new series.

Mirrors are a very important design element in a home. Think about it. The garage is really the only "room" in a house that would look funny with a mirror in it. Whether it's out of function in a powder room or purely decoration in a dining room mirrors automatically make a space feel bigger, brighter and more sophisticated. Once of my favorite shapes that is currently trending is the sunburst. It's glam, often metallic and is a nice departure from it's boring cousin the rectangle. Here are a few of my favorites:

the entry

the bedroom

the formal living room

the casual family room

in a neutral guest room

in a home office

... even on the ceiling!

To find out how I've used the sunburst mirror in my own home follow me on instagram, or click the camera icon in the top right corner of this page. Hope this helped kick your week off on a positive, inspirational note.

Have a fabulous Monday!
